I am working on an excellent opportunity in central London for a junior/mid level data privacy lawyer to join a company with a global reach and have a genuine opportunity to progress into the DPO position. You will be working closely with the current DPO and hiring manager in London and the Privacy Manager for Europe who is based in Luxembourg. You will be supporting all privacy related matters globally working with colleagues across the globe.
The team is very hands on often involved in lobbying groups and being at the forefront of changes to the law in this area. This is a wide ranging role touching on almost all parts of the business, but a particular interest in emerging technology and AI would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 2-6 years of experience in a data protection role, or with a data protection background. You should be interested in cutting edge emerging tech and the AI landscape as well the broader data protection landscape. Experience within the financial services and particularly insurance sector would be desirable but not essential.
