A rare opportunity has arisen to join a top international firm’s extremely well-respected Privacy and Cybersecurity team as a Paralegal and become a crucial part of a legacy spanning over 25 years in the field.
 
The team are a very friendly, collegiate bunch with a good work/life balance and a hybrid working policy of 3:2. The head of department is recognised globally as a thought leader in this space; they play a significant role in formulating data protection laws and is frequently called upon to advise on regulatory investigations. The team boast an enviable client list of household names across telecoms, insurance and automotive sectors, amongst others, and have expertise in providing counsel on new and prospective policy changes.
 
The role:
 
In this role, the successful Privacy and Cybersecurity Paralegal will be at the forefront of legal developments, assisting the team in monitoring legislative, regulatory, and judicial changes worldwide. Your responsibilities will include:
  • In depth legal research
  • Drafting client alerts, blog posts, and legal documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with evolving regulations like GDPR and EU digital frameworks.
  • You'll also collaborate with colleagues globally, providing essential support for knowledge-sharing initiatives and client relationships.
 
About you:
 
To thrive in this role, the successful Privacy and Cybersecurity Paralegal will need:
  • A genuine passion for privacy and data protection law, demonstrated via relevant work experience or study.
  • Education to LLB/PGDL level (or equivalent).
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • A strong grasp of ongoing legal developments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills are a must.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
