I am working for a global provider of specialist insurance cover that is looking for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join its legal team.  You will be joining a team of 4 other lawyers in this part of the business working directly with the General Counsel and reporting into the Deputy General Counsel.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with up to 3 years of experience with complex commercial contracts.  The client is also happy to consider lawyers from a corporate background who are looking to move into a more commercial role.  As this is a junior role, my client is expecting to have to provide training and development to the successful candidate, as a result the most important aspect for this role is someone who is genuinely interested in expanding their experience in the commercial and tech space.

You will be working on the high value contracts for the business (anything worth over £50k) and any more complex commercial contracts that the procurement team would not manage.  The sorts of contracts would include IP, Licencing, IT, Tech and tech acquisition contracts.  You will be a joining a close knit team which will give you an excellent opportunity to grow your experience within high value and complex commercial contracts as well as be exposed to the business more generally.

As part of EJ Legal’s candidate registration and care process all successful applications are responded to within 14 working days. If you have not been contacted within this timescale your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. We may keep your details on our system on a confidential basis for future opportunities. If you would prefer us not to do this, please let us know.
