I am working for a global provider of specialist insurance cover that is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its commercial legal team. You will be joining a team of 4 other lawyers in this part of the business working directly with the General Counsel and reporting into the Deputy General Counsel.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 5-8 years of legal experience in the insurance market together with some regulatory exposure. This is a role with global coverage so multijurisdictional experience would be beneficial.
This role will require you to manage strategic projects for the business, work with other parts of the business such as compliance and underwriters, and have overview of tech developments for the company. You will be involved in day to day legal issues but the primary responsibility for this role will be from an overview, management and strategic standpoint.
