Corporate M&A Associates 1-5 PQE – London or Manchester

We are currently recruiting for the legal division of one of the Big 4 Accountancy Firms. They are looking for a number of junior level Corporate Lawyers to join their Transactions Law team in London and Manchester. The Transactions Law team is part of the business’ Law practice. They integrate fully within the business, both in the UK and globally, and leverage the existing growth platforms that the business already has, with its extensive list of clients, resources and global presence. This legal division would describe themselves as a half-way house between private practice and in-house They are challengers to the traditional law firm model and have considerable strength in the fact that they have a huge client base from their mainstream audit, advisory practice etc. They are a true one-stop shop for clients.
 
The Corporate team does work across Tech, FS, energy, healthcare and manufacturing. There are 25 corporate transaction lawyers across London and Manchester, working on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, shareholder agreements and corporate governance issues.
 
This role will give you the opportunity to advise across a range of sectors on all aspects of Corporate Law, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, shareholder agreements and corporate governance issues.
 
Skills and Attributes:
 
  • Corporate Lawyer with 1-5 years PQE
  • A good range of experience across all aspects of Corporate Law
  • Able to demonstrate experience on mid-market M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions
  • Qualified in England & Wales
  • Strong technical, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Provides highest levels of service to clients and colleagues
  • Can demonstrate team work and relationship building skills
  • An innovative mindset (supporting the use of technology to improve service delivery)
  • Proactive and a self-starter
  • Able to work independently
