My client is a well renowned global underwriter that is looking to add a number of new members to its team at both Underwriter and Senior Underwriter levels.
They are looking for transactional corporate M&A lawyers with 1-3 years PQE for the Underwriter role and 4-8 years PQE for the Senior Underwriter roles. The majority of the deals you’ll be working on will be between the £250m-£750m range and will require you to work very commercially and be able to identify issues in these deals, you will then be advising the business as to the risks and value of those risks as well as negotiate terms within the SPAs.
At both Underwriter and Senior Underwriter level you will be working on all aspects of these deals from start to finish and be supported closely by the current team.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys the BD aspects of a role as you will be expected to be (Covid permitting) meeting brokers for drinks and dinner a couple of times a week.
