Funds Lawyer

I am working on a role with one of the largest asset managers within the private debt space. They have 2 principal product offerings – CLOs and private funds across a range of strategies including senior loans, high yield bonds, direct lending, structured credit, distressed debt, and multi-strategy credit.  You would be joining a small team based in London that has 2 in London and 2 in New York plus support from the wider funds legal team within the business.

The role will involve providing legal advice and assistance to the client’s fund ranges and CLOs, including: fund structuring and establishment; fund maintenance; negotiation of side letters; advice regarding CLOs; special projects; providing advice regarding regulatory, contractual and other legal matters as well as dealing with day to day ad hoc queries.

This role is best suited to a lawyer with 3-7 years of experience with various unregulated funds issues including marketing of unregulated funds, knowledge of unregulated fund structures and familiarity with private fund regulation.  Experience with Lux and Cayman jurisdictions, CLOs and the sub-investment grade debt market would be beneficial.
