This is an opportunity for a banking and finance lawyer, with at least 1PQE, to join a leading City generalist banking and finance practice to work on a diverse range of banking and finance transactions, including (though not limited to) general corporate banking, leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate finance, restructuring, structured finance. This highly respected team works mainly on bespoke deals rather than commoditised transactions, acting for both borrowers and lenders. Much of the work is high profile and cross-border / international.
Junior banking Associates have close contact with clients and are encouraged to get involved in business development. Work is allocated according to capacity and to ensure that each Associate has a broad range of experience across a number of different banking and finance transactions, rather than being pigeon-holed in any one area / deal type.
Applications will be considered from candidates coming from another leading City or major regional banking and finance practice. Strong academics are important, as is personality and commerciality and the desire to embrace a broad diet of banking and finance work (Associates gradually develop more of a focus in certain areas they are most interested in as they become more senior).
This is a collegiate, high achieving team, with a superb Associate training programme.
