A rare opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a international law firm’s sustainable finance and investments team.
The team have worked on several market firsts, they advise the firm’s financial institutions clients on innovative financing and investment structures anchored in impact outcomes into mainstream transactions. The team provide advice on a range of sustainable finance and investment products, these include blended finance and alternative structures, social and development bonds, green/blue finance, financial inclusion products, sustainability-linked loans and bonds, green infrastructure transactions and gender lens investing. They have a long-term outlook, and work with their clients to develop transformational internal sustainability and CSR investment policies.
The role
The successful sustainable finance Paralegal can look forward to:
- Researching and reporting on developments in the impact financing and investing sector;
- Creating first drafts of articles/thought leadership for both internal and external use;
- Conducting in-depth legal research;
- Drafting notes of client advice, internal precedents and guidance;
- Contributing to client and sector strategy;
- Assisting with queries (including market developments/precedents) from fee earners;
- Working on sustainable finance transactions;
- Supporting the production, development and update of precedent forms;
The firm currently have a hybrid working model of 2-3 days a week in the office (London) and the remainder from home.
About you
- The successful Paralegal will have a genuine and demonstrable interest in sustainable and ethical finance and investing
- You will have some prior exposure to finance deals
