You are a part-qualified Patent Attorney currently working in a private practice, full-service law firm or in-house department looking to make an exciting career move.
You are a technically astute Patent Attorney in training with the ability to quickly understand a broad range of Electronic Engineering, Software or Physics related subject matter. You possess an innate interest in new technology and relish the opportunity to advise inventors on a range of patent filing strategies. Naturally, you also pride yourself on your direct client management and relationship building skills, coupled with your ability to prioritise and take responsibility for your own caseloads.
You have successfully passed the UK Foundation examinations and be working towards qualifying as both a UK and European Patent Attorney; you may be awaiting results from one set of exams, or preparing to take finals papers in the coming months.
This Tier 1 private practice recognises their reputation is based on the quality of individuals who invest their careers with them, as well as sharing their enthusiasm and drive throughout the firm. Everything flows from their people, working cohesively within a culture where every team member is equally respected.
They’ve fostered long-term relationships with commercially astute, product-driven organisations so Attorneys are encouraged to work in genuine partnership with a range of IP and C-Suite stakeholders. Drafting and prosecution work is widely available, as is a burgeoning remit of contentious work from the outset with clients at the cutting edge of Med-Tech, Fin-Tech, AI, Automotive and Software sectors. Your skill-set will be broadened and you'll be emboldened to stretch your IP and legal capabilities.
This opportunity is uniquely well placed for a part-qualified Patent Attorney to forge a clear path for career progression, as their in-house training programme provides a fully supportive and invested environment for the successful individual to gain valuable first-hand insight on how to offer legal and IP advice to a range of companies and organisations.
If you’re looking for a private practice appointment where you can make a genuine impact working with product-driven clients, then please contact James Dawes on 07739 982 766 for a confidential discussion or email: jamesd@ejgroup.co.uk
