Senior Associate – Infrastructure Finance – Leading Global Law Firm

Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their dynamic and market-leading Infrastructure Finance team in London.

As one of the world’s most renowned law firms, our client advises many of the largest and most ambitious organisations across the globe. Their Infrastructure Finance team is at the forefront of complex and high-profile transactions, working across the entire infrastructure sector, including transport, energy transition (renewables, batteries, EV charging, etc.), digital infrastructure, water, waste, and healthcare.
 
With a strong presence in key European cities as well as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and across Asia and Australia, this firm is highly ranked in legal directories such as Legal 500 (Tier 1 for Project, Energy & Natural Resources – Infrastructure and Power).
 
The Role
 
As a Senior Associate in Infrastructure Finance, you will:
  • Advise infrastructure funds and global financial institutions on the acquisition financing of infrastructure assets.
  • Be involved in project finance transactions for both borrowers and lenders.
  • Lead and negotiate transactions, supervising junior associates and trainees.
  • Build strong client relationships, identifying opportunities and providing top-tier service.
  • Manage workstreams efficiently, ensuring progress updates are communicated to stakeholders.
  • Support firm-wide initiatives, including business development, legal precedent preparation, and marketing efforts.
 
Key Requirements
  • Qualified/admitted legal practitioner in a relevant jurisdiction.
  • Ideally 6+ years PQE with strong experience in infrastructure acquisition finance; project finance experience is also advantageous.
  • Trained at a Magic Circle, US, Silver Circle, or top-tier Australian/NZ firm.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously on principal finance workstreams.
  • Familiarity with LMA standard terms and drafting facility/commitment documentation from start to finish.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of law firm profitability and efficiency.
