Our client, a highly regarded international firm, has a rare opportunity for a junior banking and finance lawyer, newly qualified or with up to 1PQE, to join its London generalist banking and finance practice, to do a genuinely varied mix of banking and finance work, more so than is available at most other larger City banking and finance teams, advising a varied and eclectic client base of both lenders and borrowers - from leading financial institutions and alternative lenders to businesses and entrepreneurs, investors, non profit organisations and high net worth individuals. The spread of transactional work a junior banking and finance associate can expect to be exposed to within their first year includes a range of general banking; acquisition finance; private banking; and other areas such as art finance; trade finance; real estate and development finance; asset finance; project finance; structured finance; fund and venture finance.
You will have a strong academic background and banking and finance experience gained from another highly respected banking and finance practice as well as the desire for a broader range of banking and finance work and to work for a more varied client base.
Associates at this firm enjoy a more balanced working environment - it does not have a long hours culture.
