General Banking 1-5PQE

Opportunity for a banking and finance lawyer, preferably with at least 2PQE, to join a top City generalist banking and finance practice and to work on a diverse range of banking and finance transactions, including general corporate banking, leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate finance, restructuring, and structured finance (etc). This highly respected team works mainly on bespoke deals rather than commoditised transactions, acting for both borrowers and lenders. Much of the work is high profile and cross-border / international.

Banking Associates are encouraged from an early stage to have close contact with clients and to get involved in business development. Work is carefully allocated according to capacity and to ensure that each Associate is given a broad variety of work.

Applications will be considered from candidates coming from another top tier City or regional banking and finance practice, with “hands on” experience on a range of banking and finance transactions. Strong academics are very important, as is personality and commercial acumen, and the desire to embrace a broad diet of banking and finance work (Associates gradually develop more of a focus in certain areas as they become more senior).

This is a collegiate, high achieving team, with a superb Associate training programme.
