Patent Attorney - Electronic Engineering - Part Qualified

You are a part-qualified patent attorney with a first degree in electronic engineering, looking to move to a firm that can offer a fantastic blend of training, development, and access to pioneering technology via a rich, hugely varied client base.

You should have completed the UK Foundation examinations and acquired a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in a private practice, law firm or industrial IP department. You should be working towards qualification as both a UK and European patent attorney and have acquired practical experience of drafting patent applications.

This modern, pioneering UK private practice takes genuine pride in aligning their IP expertise with a fantastic range of UK and International clients, preferring long-term partnerships with their customers, rather than transactional filing via the US agency model. Attorneys are afforded a high degree of autonomy with direct clients and can offer secondments for attorneys to work within their clients’ own IP departments.

You should be a confident communicator, engaging and adaptable to the ever-changing demands of clients, whether it be an SME or a large multi-national corporation. You welcome professional development and enjoy being part of a team and contributing to a firm’s collective commercial strategy.
The working culture is collaborative and inclusive, with a fair hybrid approach to office and home working fully supported.

If you are looking for a brilliant firm that can offer long-term career development potential, and in an environment that is geared to every employee contributing to the success of the firm, then get in touch with James Dawes on 07739 982 766 for a confidential discussion, or email jamesd@ejgroup.co.uk for a full brief.
