Corporate M&A / Private Equity Knowledge Lawyer – US Law Firm

A leading US law firm is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join its top-tier Private Equity / M&A team in London, ideally 5 days/week.
 
The Role

You will work as part of a collaborative Knowledge Management team, supporting the group’s lawyers across a full spectrum of KM activities. The role will be varied and high-impact, with responsibilities including:
  • Updating and refining model precedents to reflect market-leading practice
  • Developing and delivering internal training, including hands-on sessions on core transaction documents
  • Managing and curating knowhow content across the group
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and disseminating key updates internally
  • Responding to technical queries from fee-earners
  • Collating and analysing market data and deal trends
  • Preparing external client briefings and supporting client-facing presentation materials
  • Contributing to the development of tech-enabled KM tools and resources
 
The Candidate

The firm is looking for a UK-qualified lawyer with a strong background in corporate M&A and/or private equity, ideally with:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ PQE gained at a top-tier City, US, international, or respected regional firm
  • Deep technical knowledge of private equity / private M&A transactions
  • Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to internal and external audiences
  • A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
 
This role would suit either an experienced Knowledge Lawyer or a current fee-earner looking to transition into a strategic, non-fee-earning position within a high-performing environment.
